Abstract: As a long series of empirical studies have shown, the ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) sector has acquired a crucially important role in the economies of the most industrialized nations. In this context, the purpose of the paper is quantitatively to assess the economic structure of ICT using the world input-output table. Several features of these indices were found in order to categorize the sectors most connected with ICT.
